YBN Cordae Charged With Class D Felony During Breonna Taylor Protest

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Cordae Amari Dunston, professionally known as YBN Cordae has been arrested during a peaceful protest for Breonna Taylor in Louisville KY.

The 22 year old rapper was attending the protest with his girlfriend Naomi Osaka who has confirmed the arrest via twitter. The couple have been vocal about demanding justice and defending the rights of people of color since the tragic death of George Flyod.

Protesters were demonstrating and chanting “Say her name! Breonna Taylor!” on the lawn outside the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron. They were sitting cross legged outside on a curb when the arrest were made.

Cordae was handcuffed outside the house of the Kentucky General Attorney along with 87 others. The protestors were charged with Class D Felonies for "intimidating a participant in a legal process."

Cordae is being charged for intimidating a participant in legal process, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, along with Yandy Smith, Porsha Williams, and Trae Tha Thruth who have also been detained and charged.
