Moon Man and Slim Shady Announce New Song Coming This Week
Two months after Kid Cudi tweets the rap god for help, Cudi announce his upcoming track with Eminem, “The Adventure of Moon Man and Slim Shady” dropping this Friday, July 10.
The track will mark the first ever collaboration between the two hiphop giants. It is still unclear whether the track would be a standalone single or would come accompanied with several others, however it definitely is a start of something that has huge potential.
The release was announced by Kid Cudi’s youngest daughter, Vada Wamwene Mescudi, via a short video posted on Twitter, Wednesday July 8. “Hi! It’s Vada, I’m here to say that my daddy’s new single “The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady” is coming on Friday. Check it out. Bye!” she announcing grinding in the 12 second video uploaded by Cudi.

Fans have been expecting the collaboration after Cudi’s tweet asking Eminem for help early May. (May 7)

Nonetheless, doubt about it even happened started rising after an episode of Young Money Radio.
Shortly after Cudi’s tweet, Lil Wayne had Eminem on his show and asked him about his thoughts on Cudi’s tweet. Surprisingly, Eminem wasn’t even aware of the tweet to begin with, however, said he was going to figure it out. The interview raised many flags about the validity of the collaboration and whether it was even happening, but luckily the two have actually come together and pulled through.

The collaboration doesn’t come as a surprise as the the two rapper are known to have mad love and respect for the other and his craft. In 2015, Eminem shouted out Kid Cudi on a Bad Meets Evil song, “All I Think About,” in which Cudi expressed his love to the whole Shady crew.
