Lil Uzi Vert Takes Us Back To 2016 with ‘Eternal Atake’

This is NOT a drill. I repeat, THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

Lil Uzi Vert finally graces our ears with “Eternal Atake” after dropping a video with his intro track “Baby Pluto” on YouTube.

Last week, Lil Uzi Vert took to his twitter account to unofficially promote the drop of his upcoming album “Eternal Atake.” Despite not announcing an actual release date, Uzi took his time introducing his fans to Baby Pluto, released a short film about his alter-ego, shared several options for album cover artwork, and released the track-list. He was able to gain huge attraction towards his project.

The project had been in the works since July 2018, and was announced completed during Rolling Loud LA the same year. Unfortunately, Uzi had problems with his label which caused unforeseen hurdles and obstacles but as always, Roc Nation came to the rescue.

Eternal Atake consists of 16 tracks, and includes his singles Futsal Shuffle 2020 and That Way as bonus tracks. The album is light on the features, with only Syd on Urgency and a beat by Chief Keef for Chrome Heart Tag. Several songs however did not make the cut, such as New Patek, Sanguine Paradise and Thats A Rack which were believed to be album throwaways.

Uzi has kept his fans on their feet since Luv is Rage 2 but their loyalty hadn’t budged one bit. He took his time to introduce his fans to his different personas, each used to express a different aspect of his life. Fans fell in love with The Real Uzi, embraced the refined Lil Uzi Vert, and felt his realness through Renji. Now, Baby Pluto takes center stage as his alter-ego and it all creates full circle. (On EA, tracks 1-6 are Baby Pluto’s, 7-12 are Renji, and the rest are Uzi).
