Olly Sholotan Opens Up On Latest Track “Hurts Too Real”

Singer-Songwriter Olly Sholotan is back with his heart on his sleeves in his latest single, “Hurts Too Real.”

“Hurts Too Real” Official Album Cover

The nearly 3-minute long track is written and produced by him, with a cover art by photographer Jack Morris. Sholotan branches from pop heavy music into the realm of R&B with a soulful and melodic tune.

The track starts slow with a soft and calming sound escalating minimally to emphasize emotion while maintaining the same soothing melody. It incorporates ad libs and a piano underlying the vocals.

Based in Los Angeles, it seems as though Sholotan is struggling with finding the correct balance between between his professional and personal life. Throughout the song, he admits to putting his dreams and career ahead of his personal relationships. Halfway through the track, comes to terms and actualizes the position he has put himself in before asking for another try at a love that seems to have slipped through his hands.
